The Opportunity

As Builders + Backers evolves into a product-led platform with a growing member community, we're seeking a Programming & Events Manager to own and elevate the live experience for our early-stage founders and aspiring entrepreneurs (Builders). This individual will design, coordinate, and deliver the events and programming that bring the platform to life—live workshops, guest speakers, community sessions, and shared learning moments.

This is a highly operational, Builder-facing role. You'll take full ownership of the events calendar and execution, ensuring that every live experience feels thoughtful, well-run, and genuinely valuable. This role requires an understanding of and comfort level working with early-stage founders who are navigating ambiguity, uncertainty, and rapid iteration.

Key Responsibilities

Events Strategy & Calendar Ownership

• Own the full calendar of live events and programming for platform members
• Define the cadence, formats, and themes of sessions across the entrepreneurial journey (idea formation, validation, experimentation, early traction, capital raising, etc).
• Ensure a balanced mix of inspiration, tactical learning, and community connection
• Align programming with product launches, curriculum, and Builder needs
• Maintain a clear, organized, and predictable events experience for members

Speaker Sourcing & Management

• Identify relevant founders, operators, and experts for live sessions
• Conduct outreach, manage scheduling, and coordinate logistics
• Prepare speakers on format, audience expectations, and session goals
• Serve as the primary point of contact and experience manager for guest speakers
• Evaluate sessions to determine reuse or adaptation for future programming
